What are documentation delivery methods? - How to get off on the right foot with User Adoption part

Delivery methods are the different ways you can provide business process, system task and quick reference documentation to an end user. These methods include:

  • Hard Copy User Guides - Provide detailed information about business and system tasks in a paper format. Typically include copies of the screens and menu paths to enhance usability. Eagle does not recommend production of hard copy user guides unless the client culture and/or technology environment does not allow for an online solution.

  • Online Help - Provides quick access to specific information needed while operating the product. Assists you in performing routine tasks and solving problems. Typical format for online help is Windows help files. Eagle recommends this option for clients who only have the Windows platform, and who do not have a corporate intranet, and do not plan to implement an intranet in the near future.
